BMW X1 receives mild nip and tuck for 2014

New technology and trim options inside, new colours and wheels outside - that's the 2014 BMW X1.

BMW has decided the time is right to freshen up its crossover and has given it a mild update. The biggest news is the introduction of BMW's ConnectedDrive system, which, when ordered with satnav, opens up a world of mobility services that can also be accessed through your smartphone - both Apple and Android devices are supported.

Staying inside the car, the instrument cluster visor will now be covered with soft-touch materials emphasised by 'lapfolded' seams, whilst options will now include colours like high-gloss black, matt Coral red or pearl-gloss Chrome.

Anything else?
To distinguish the updated car from older models the 2014 BMW X1 will wear a newly designed front bumper with larger air intakes. Daytime running lights will also be included as standard, as too will 17-inch alloy wheels with a new V-Spoke design debuting as part of the update. The cherry on top is the introduction of a new Sparkling Brown metallic colour.

BMW Ireland has yet to confirm when the new model will arrive.
