Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle Team charity success

Irish Cancer Society benefits from some dodgy-looking moustaches.

There will be some fresh-looking faces in the offices of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles now that the month of November is over. This year the team took part in the annual Movember challenge that saw all the guys growing (or attempting to grow!) moustaches in order to raise money for the chosen charity, the Irish Cancer Society.

Helped along by Today FM presenter and brand ambassador, Phil Cawley, the team managed to raise in excess of €8,000, all of which will go towards raising awareness of prostate and testicular cancer. Speaking through a particularly impressive moustache, Brand Director, Alan Bateson, said, "We had selected the Irish Cancer Society as our official charity in 2013 so Movember seemed like a logical step to go that bit further. It has been great fun and we are delighted with the overall amount of money raised."
