Saab 9-5 to cost from €36,500

New Saab 9-5 undercuts main German rivals, while offering similar specification levels.

Saab's new 9-5 model has just gone on sale in Ireland, with a starting price of €36,500. 

All versions will have as standard front fog lamps, rain sensing wipers, auto headlights, heated mirrors, a nine-speaker stereo system with aux-in and USB sockets and MP3 integration, an electronic parking brake and floor mats. 

Linear models will have 17-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, a leather steering wheel and textile upholstery. 

Vector models will have additional features such as sportier 17-inch five-spoke wheels, Bluetooth, front and rear parking sensors, electrically adjustable front seats, heated front seats and leather upholstery. 

The 2.0-litre TiD 160hp Linear model costs from €36,500 and the Vector model is €39,500 with manual transmission. 

With an automatic transmission, the 2.0-litre TiD Linear costs €39,300 and the Vector is €42,300.
