Exterior
We've got to give credit to Citroen for the design of this new C4 Picasso. It's easy for manufacturers in this category of vehicle to switch off when it comes to the aesthetics, but Citroen has turned out what is easily one of the best looking cars in class. Those that choose to go for the Exclusive (or higher) trim level also benefit from a chrome 'side signature' (that's window trim to you and I) and it does really lift the look of the car that bit more. The front-end features thin LED daytime running lights that give the Picasso a distinctive look, while the panoramic windscreen gives the driver virtually unrivalled forward visibility.
Interior
In the past some of the larger Citroens have felt a little bit plastic - thankfully this isn't the case here. Buyers will also benefit from a generous level of standard equipment that includes a seven-inch touchscreen system that is used to control the majority of the car's controls, resulting in a clutter-free dashboard. When choosing the Exclusive trim level, the dash incorporates a 12-inch panoramic HD display, which can also be used to display photos that you choose to upload.
Other standard features include three individual rear seats - all of which can take an Isofix child seat - something that will no doubt be for interest to parents of young children.
Mechanicals
Buyers will be able to choose from a range of engines that will offer good fuel efficiency and low CO2 emissions, which will mean lower road tax costs. All engines come in at or under 110g/km of CO2, while the eHDi 90 unit, specified in conjunction with the ETG6 transmission, emits just 98g/km.
Anything else?
Prices for the entry level HDi 90 model start at €24,495 (plus dealer related charges) while the more generously equipped Exclusive trim level along with the more powerful e-HDi 115 engine will be priced from €28,995.
