Small Infiniti paves way for Irish launch

Infiniti Q30 concept reveals how new Golf rival may look.

Infiniti has released the first actual photograph of its Q30 concept car, set to take centre stage on the company's Frankfurt Motor Show stand in just a couple of weeks. It's still not 100 per cent clear where in the market the Q30 will be placed, and it seems that Infiniti is happy for us to remain in the dark. Here's an extract from the press release:

'The shape of the Infiniti Q30 Concept deliberately challenges categorisation - not a coupe, not a hatch and not a crossover but a fusion of the three body styles. It is designed for younger customers seeking an alternative to traditional premium compact vehicles and open to convention-challenging approaches.'

Our guess is on a premium version of the next generation Nissan Qashqai, which would certainly help the firm's cause if it ever gets around to launching into the Irish market...

Anything else?
The Q30 concept debuts at 09:15 (Irish time) on September 10 in Frankfurt.
