Exterior
Urban-style Yetis can be identified by having body-coloured exterior fixtures and fittings, while the new Outdoor models will have bumpers, under-body panels and door sills in tough, scratch-proof black plastic. The Outdoor model will also have standard silver-effect door mirrors. There are also new choices of alloy wheels.
Interior
An update to the interior has been carried out too; it now comes with new three-spoke steering wheel options, new seats and new dashboard and door trims. Thankfully, the space and the clever flip, fold and lift-out VarioFlex seats remain untouched. In the boot, the Yeti now comes with the clever double-sided boot floor that allows you to either have carpet or a more rugged plastic boot floor, depending on what you're carrying.
Mechanicals
Engines remain unchanged, and the 1.6 TDI Greenline is still the most efficient Yeti, with a CO2 rating of 119g/km, while the only major change on the mechanical front is that the DSG twin-clutch automatic gearbox is now available on the 2.0 TDI 4x4 model.
Anything else?
The Yeti has been a storming success for Skoda since it was launched in 2009, selling more than 250,000 units worldwide. It's already being built in Russia as well as in Skoda's home factory in the Czech Republic, and will by the end of the year also be built in China, where a stretched-wheelbase version will be made.
