Last weekend saw the annual Dun Laoghaire Regatta take place; with Volvo sponsoring the event for the second time. The 2013 event also saw Volvo's participation for the fourth consecutive year.
With the Volvo brand already heavily involved in sailing thanks to the Volvo Ocean Race it seems only fitting that the company should see its name on Ireland's biggest sailing regatta. This year's event saw almost 400 vessels attend; some of which came from outside Ireland.
The venue for the event is the Dun Laoghaire Harbour, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful man-made harbours in the world. In addition to the sailing talent and numerous boats, visitors to the regatta were also able to enjoy live music, dancing and BBQs throughout the weekend.
Volvo's sponsorship also helped give some variety to the event, as the entire range of new Volvo models were on display, including the latest XC60 and V40 models.
