New SEAT Leon SC will cost from €18,645 and comes in three trim levels; an estate will join the range later this year.

The three-door SEAT Leon SC will go on sale on 1st July with a choice of three petrol and four diesel engines.  Prices start at €18,645, which is €350 less than the equivalent five-door Leon.

Petrol power comes in 1.2-litre (with 86- or 105hp) and 1.8-litre 183hp forms with diesel engines of 1.6- and 2.0-litres completing the range.  The 1.6 diesel is sold in 90- and 105hp versions while the 2.0-litre produces with 150- or 184hp.  There are three trim levels, but only certain engines are available with each level of equipment.

The entry level is 'Reference', which comes with six airbags, air conditioning and 'Media System Colour', the latter including a five-inch touchscreen, USB port, SD card slot and Bluetooth.  Mid-range versions of the SC are badged 'Style' and cost from €21,045.  Front fog lamps with cornering function and 16-inch alloy wheels identify this model while the interior comes with leather on the steering wheel, gear lever and hand brake.  Technical highlights include an XDS electrical differential lock and Hill Hold.

Top of the range is the FR model with 17-inch wheels, a chromed double exhaust pipe and LED lights front and rear.  The FR also gets its own suspension set-up and special leather steering wheel, gear knob and hand brake.  Prices for the top version start at €26,475.

In the autumn the Leon range will be joined by the Sports Tourer estate body style.
