Red Bull Racing Mégane unveiled

Renaultsport gives limited edition Mégane wings...

Renault has unveiled a limited edition Mégane in honour of the company's third Formula 1 Constructor's title. The lengthy name for the model is the Mégane Renaultsport Red Bull Racing RB8 and sits at the top of the Mégane family.

Exterior
The Mégane is painted in Twilight Blue that is inspired by the colours used by the Red Bull Racing Team. Contrasting Platinum Grey paintwork can be found on the front F1 blade, door mirrors, door handles and rear roof spoiler. Massive black 19-inch 'Steev' alloys reside underneath complete with platinum rims.

Hints towards the racing team's success can be found thanks to decals on the side and rear panels, as well as a laurel on the rear side windows celebrating last year's win.

Interior
Inside, the Recaro seats have been reupholstered and now feature Red Bull logos on the headrests. Further branding can be found on the aluminium kick plates and floor mats.

Heading up the goodies in the RB8 is the R-Link infotainment system and a new version of the Renaultsport Monitor. The updated system features TomTom Live satnav as standard, meaning that on-board telemetry can be viewed without getting lost in the process. The seven-inch display also has a new interface with special Red Bull homepage, as well as a GPS-tracked lap timer.

Mechanicals
Under the bonnet is a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine kicking out 265hp. To make sure drivers can get the most out of this power, Renaultsport has fitted uprated springs, dampers, anti-roll bars, a limited-slip differential and Brembo brakes with grooved discs.

Anything else?
Pricing has yet to be announced, but expensive or not, those wanting one had better get in quick. Numbers are limited and precious few will make it to Irish shores.
