Nissan announces five new models

New models from Nissan include a supercharged Micra, Nismo Juke and Qashqai with 'Around View Monitor'.

Five new Nissan models have joined the range in Ireland with variants of the Micra, Juke and Qashqai increasing customer choice.

The new Micra DIG-S comes with a direct-injection, 1.2-litre supercharged petrol engine.  Power output is 98hp while CO2 emissions are 99g/km (compared with 115g/km for the un-supercharged 1.2).  Fifteen-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic glass roof and a roof spoiler help identify the DIG-S, which costs €15,095.   Standard equipment includes air conditioning, keyless entry and cruise control with a built-in speed limiter.

Satellite navigation is standard on the next new model, the Juke N-Tec.  The 5.8-inch touchscreen system can also provide weather forecasts, display the current speed limit and show other information such as flight details.  Prices start at €21,495 with a choice of three engines: 1.5-litre diesel or 1.6-litre petrol, with and without turbocharging.

The first in a range of Nismo sports model, the Juke Nismo, is now available from €29,675.  Powered by a 200hp, 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol motor customers can choose between two-wheel drive manual and 'All Mode 4x4i CVT' variants.  There is a slight performance penalty for choosing all-wheel drive: the front-wheel drive model is claimed to do 0-100km/h in 7.8 seconds, versus 8.2 seconds for the 4x4, with a top speed of 215km/h (200km/h for the 4x4).

Finally, there are two new Qashqai models, the SV+ and the 360.  Replacing the Qashqai SV, the SV+ costs €25,245 and adds 18-inch alloy wheels and silver roof rails.  The Qashqai 360 comes with Nissan's Around View Monitor, which helps with parking by displaying a 'bird's eye' view of the car and its surroundings on the Connect 5.8-inch touchscreen.  Other standard features for the €26,745, range-topping model are a panoramic glass roof, semi-leather trim and Bluetooth.
