Toyota sponsors Cricket Ireland

Toyota signs three-year deal as Cricket Ireland's Official Car Sponsor.

Toyota Ireland has just begun a three-year contract as the Official Car Sponsor for Cricket Ireland.

Over the term of the contract, Toyota will provide Cricket Ireland with a fleet of cars to help provide business and operational support to the team, and to help the sport grow in Ireland.

Ian Corbett, Marketing Operations Manager for Toyota Ireland says, "Cricket Ireland's plans to 2015 are ambitious and focused. Our aim is to support cricket at elite level for future World Cups; but also at grassroots to help increase participation in the sport right across Ireland."

Currently, the Irish Cricket team is ranked tenth in Cricket T20, and sits at eleventh in 50 over cricket. We've also been told that there are over 34,000 players actively taking part in the sport across Ireland - spread out over 140 clubs and more than 900 Senior and Junior teams.

Dennis Cousins, Cricket Ireland's Director of Commercial commented, "We look forward to working with Toyota into the future, on our journey to becoming a Full Member Test Nation."

Ireland will also host England in the RSA Challenge match in Malahide on 3rd September 2013. The game is set to be televised live on Sky Sports.
