SEAT grows 117%

Initial sales figures for 2013 show SEAT making a strong start to the year with the greatest increase in sales of any brand.

SEAT is officially Ireland's fastest growing car brand according to the initial sales figures for 2013.  The 10-day motor industry sales analysis by SIMI shows a 117% rise in vehicles sold by the Spanish company.

The Ibiza, Mii and new Toledo have been credited for the strong start to the year, along with the improved dealer network.  As a result SEAT's market share is now 2.7%, up 1% on the same period in 2012.

Cian O'Brien, Director of SEAT Ireland said; "We are delighted with these initial 10-day sales figures, which show SEAT as being the fastest growing car brand in Ireland. Our sales are up an amazing 117% when compared to the same period this time last year."

"There is a long way to go in 2013 but we are confident that this is a sign of positive things to come for the brand. SEAT is a brand with fresh ambition and we have superb new products, such as the all-new SEAT Leon which launches in March, as well as a major sales and marketing drive to follow this year to keep up this momentum."
