Yes, you read it correctly.  Mitsubishi has announced that it is to include a massive eight-year/150,000km warranty on all its passenger cars.  This offer is available now to all customers buying a new Mitsubishi across the company's dealer network.

More news from Mitsubishi comes in the form of the replacement for the Colt hatchback.  Whilst we still don't have a confirmed name for the new model, we do know that it will launch in Ireland's showrooms in February 2013 in two trim levels.  The 1.0-litre Invite will have an emissions figure of 92g/km and returns 70.6mpg (4.0 litres/100km); and the more powerful 1.2-litre Intense will achieve 100g/km and 65.7mpg (4.3 litres/100km).  Prices are to be announced in December.

The final news stories from Mitsubishi are to do with the all-new Outlander, which launches on 19th November.  Prices have now been revealed, with base level 2WD five-seat model costing from €34,995. This rises to €39,995 for the 4WD seven-seat automatic variant.  Fuel economy figures reach a claimed 58mpg (4.9 litres/100km), with some models achieving emissions as low as 126g/km.  Mitsubishi will also launch the world's first plug-in hybrid SUV, dubbed the Outlander PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle).  Set to hit Ireland's shores in July 2013, figures for this model include a claimed 200mpg (1.4 litres/100km) and a cruising range of up to 880km.
