Audi cracks first in end-of year silly season

Future Now offers more car for your money if orders placed before end of year.

The automotive silly season has begun with Audi being the first marque to flinch in the year end battle to attract customers. The German giant has revived the 'Future Now' campaign that it introduced last year to encourage car buyers to get their orders in now for 2013 models.

To entice buyers to the brand Audi will offer ordinarily high cost options like Xenon lights, automatic transmission and quattro four-wheel drive at a substantial discount. It has also done away with the blanket premium normally commanded for these items; instead making them model specific.

Quattro for example would ordinarily command a €2,950 premium over front-wheel drive no matter the car but now smaller cars like A3 and Q3 get can be fitted with quattro for €1,850; the larger A4, A5 and Q5 get it for €2,100 and the likes of the A6 and A7 can have quattro for €2,300.

Other offers under the Future Now banner include value option packs like the one available for the outgoing A3 Sportback. Just €500 over the regular price will get you items like the S Line exterior pack, Bose audio, leather/Alcantara sports seats and 18-inch alloys; the list price for these items would ordinarily be close to €9,000.
