Land Rover at the New York Auto Show

A few surprises join Geneva stars at the NY Show on the Land Rover stand.

With 2012 being the 25th anniversary of Range Rover's debut in the US market Land Rover will mark the occasion with a special display at next week's New York Auto Show. An original 1987 Range Rover, a 1993 Land Rover 110, a 1995 Range Rover Classic and 1994 Camel Trophy Discovery will on be on hand for attendees to put through their paces over a specially constructed off-road course.

Alongside the fun and frivolity Land Rover will also use the show to introduce the Evoque Convertible concept to US audiences (the expected biggest market for any production version), a new livery for the DC100 concept and two new, as yet unnamed, limited edition models.

Land Rover's sister company, Jaguar, says it 'will make a significant news announcement' at the show. Let's hope that concerns the C-X16 sports coupé.
