First official pics of all-new Mercedes A-Class

Mercedes-Benz previews new baby A-Class with interior and tech details.

Mercedes-Benz has released images of the interior of the new A-Class and the big news is iPhone integration. The new car, set to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in less than two weeks, will feature the Mercedes developed 'Digital DriveStyle App' and once connected via the onboard Drive Kit Plus will give owners complete control over their iPhones through a rotary dial on the centre console.

The app separates iPhone functionality into three easy to navigate menus: Friends, Media and Places. Friends gives access to social media like Facebook and Twitter; Media allows for the streaming of music and other media stored on the iPhone and gives access to the personalised AUPEO! Personal Radio; while Places opens a Garmin-based satnav system complete with live traffic updates, 3D graphics and online search capability.

Apple 4S owners will also be able to ask Siri (Apple's new voice recognition system) to complete tasks for them making for a truly hands-free driving experience. The iPhone integration system will be rolled out to the B- and C-Class later this year with plans already in place to develop similar systems for Android and Windows-based smartphones.
