The Tucson N Line builds on an already dramatic design, adding a distinct body kit with bespoke wheel designs.
Details include a unique exterior design package with a performance-inspired front bumper that looks more angular, a pronounced chin spoiler and dark satin-black aero ducts on the sides.
That look continues through the body-coloured side skirts and lower door trims. The door mirrors and C-pillar inserts are gloss black, while the rear bumper features a body-coloured aerodynamic diffuser with twin exhaust outlets.
What’s it like inside?
The N Line specification adds to the new Tucson’s impressive interior with a few signature details.
The black monotone cabin includes seats upholstered in a mix of leather and suede, with red accents.
A specific N steering wheel has perforated leather, red stitching and dark metal detailing to give it quite a premium look and feel.
As with other Hyundai N models, the pedals and footrest gain bright metal covers, and when you open the doors, there are N Line-branded kick plates visible.
Hyundai’s latest Pleos Connect infotainment features in the N Line specification. Based on the Android Automotive OS, this new system integrates vehicle functions and connected services through compatible apps with a large 17-inch touchscreen.
It includes an enhanced voice assistant that uses an LLM (large language model) and can access live data from the internet to provide a better user experience.
Other details up front include two 15W Qi 2.0 wireless charging pads, USB-C charge ports, a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system and ambient lighting.
Buyers can also specify a driver’s Ergo Motion Seat or Relaxation Comfort Seat in addition to multi-air climate control.
There is a similar treatment for the rear passenger compartment, though it loses none of its practicality. On some versions, the rear bench has a sliding function, enabling it to move over 150 millimetres to provide either more passenger legroom or increase the boot capacity.
The rear seats have a 40:20:40 split-folding function. Those in the rear can keep their devices topped up thanks to two 100W USB-C charge ports.
Is the N Line available on all Tucson versions?
Yes, Hyundai will offer the N Line specification grade across the three powertrains that are available, including petrol, hybrid and plug-in hybrid.
There is also no compromise when it comes to driving comfort, as the N Line trim focuses more on design than changing the Tucson’s handling characteristics with firmer suspension.
What engines are available for the Tucson?
The Tucson range starts with a 150hp 1.6 T-GDI petrol engine that drives the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
A hybrid version combines the same turbocharged engine with a 1.49kWh battery and electric motor to produce a combined maximum output of 245hp. It transmits its power via a six-speed automatic transmission and is available in front- and all-wheel drive.
Following the car’s launch, Hyundai will add a plug-in-hybrid variant that uses a 17.1kWh battery to provide an electric driving range of 67 kilometres in N Line specification - and has a total power output of 292hp.
The Hyundai Tucson N Line is expected to go on sale in Ireland early in 2027, and prices will be announced closer to that time.
