Irish price for Kia Seltos hybrid confirmed ahead of 271 sales

What exactly is a Seltos?

It’s a Kia nameplate that has been in use in other global markets until now, but it’s a model making its Irish debut. It’s a chunky-looking mid-size SUV, slightly smaller (but not much less roomy in real terms) and slightly cheaper than the big-selling Kia Sportage.

What engines does the Kia Seltos come with?

While you may discover a petrol-only example of the Seltos in Kia dealers across the country today, those have been brought in purely to let buyers see and sit into the car. It has been confirmed that the Kia Seltos will be hybrid-only for the Irish market, using a 1.6-litre petrol engine and producing a maximum of 154hp.

What’s the entry-level Kia Seltos model like?

The Seltos range starts with a K2 model, which for your €39,500 comes as standard with 16-inch alloys, dual panoramic digital displays, smart cruise control, heated front seats and steering wheel, a reversing camera and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

For €42,500, the K3 version adds to that 18-inch alloys, synthetic leather seats, interior ambient lighting, privacy glass, wireless phone charging and more.

There’s a GT-Line model for €45,000, too, which gets a GT body kit, 360-degree surround-view monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, a powered tailgate and remote park assist. At the top of the range there’s a GT-Line Plus which comes with a sunroof, driver’s premium relaxation seat, a Harman Kardon sound system, ventilated front seats, a head-up display and vehicle-to-load charging ability (from its hybrid battery) for €48,000.

How big is the Kia Seltos?

It’s not small, actually. The Kia Seltos is 4,430mm long, 1,830mm wide and 1,600mm tall and, thanks to a lengthy 2,960mm wheelbase, it’s roomy inside with a very useful 536-litre boot.

When can I buy the Kia Seltos in Ireland?

You can pop into your nearest Kia dealer to get a look at one of those display-only Seltos models right now, but the first deliveries of Irish customer cars are set for December, ahead of the 271-registration period starting on 1 January 2027.
