New Mitsubishi Outlander

Mitsubishi promises innovation and style for Geneva-bound debut.

Detroit Auto Show is only just over and already Geneva information is starting to trickle in. One of the first comes from Mitsubishi, it giving us a tantalising glimpse of what it's bringing to the show. Only a portion of what Mitsubishi is describing as 'a strategic and innovative premium vehicle' is visible, though we'll admit to liking what we can see.

But what is it? Mitsubishi is playing it coy, but we reckon it's a new Outlander. Regardless, the new car will start an all-new generation of global products from the firm, which promise to be greener in line with the firm's Jump 2013 business plan.

The new design language will encompass a range of new crossover, car and SUV models, making the Geneva show a significant one for the brand. Not least for its location, as the Japanese firm usually shows such globally important models at its home event. That's telling and it underlines the company's global goals. We'll be seeing the new car in March, but until then take a look at the image and get guessing...
