While most of the crowd was ogling the action up the famous hill at last weekend's Goodwood Festival of Speed, there was a more select presentation of an all-new electric Range Rover going on at the other end of the UK site, and no, it's not the long-awaited Range Rover Electric...
Enough with the teasing, we've seen the headline
Ah yes, then you'll know that we can now confirm that the full-fat Range Rover EV will be swiftly followed to market by the Range Rover Sport Electric.
The announcement was accompanied by a couple of teaser images, but a) they don't show a lot and anyway b) the Range Rover Sport Electric is not expected to look very different from the other models in the lineup - petrol, diesel and plug-in-hybrid variants will remain on the price list for the foreseeable future to satisfy consumer demand.

So what's the range of the Range Rover Sport Electric?
I'm afraid we have no further confirmed information on the big, sporty electric SUV, though we can make a few assumptions based on what we know about the regular Range Rover Electric.
Full details for that car have yet to be released, though it's known it will feature a massive 117kWh battery pack, enabling a range somewhere in the region of 530 kilometres.
The electric Range Rovers use an 800-volt architecture for fast DC charging, up to 350kW.
Will the electric Range Rover Sport still be dynamic and fast?
Range Rover certainly believes so, specifically saying "more dynamic and faster than ever” in its limited information. Whether it means to suggest the Range Rover Sport Electric will be more dynamic and faster than the 635hp Range Rover SV remains to be seen.

For reference, early prototypes of the Range Rover Electric used an electric motor on each axle for peak power of 550hp, and a massive 850Nm of torque. No reason to think that the Sport won't use a similar setup.
