Peugeot has entered into a new partnership with Strate School of Design to develop the next generation of automotive designers and explore future mobility concepts.

The collaboration will see Strate students working on real-world design projects focused on future mobility challenges, user experience, and emerging technologies. Students will be mentored by Peugeot design experts alongside Strate faculty, giving them direct exposure to the automotive industry.

Peugeot says the initiative will allow it to identify and support emerging design talent at an early stage, while also using the partnership as a "genuine innovation laboratory” to explore future mobility needs and ideas.

Matthias Hossann, Peugeot Design Director, said, "This partnership reflects our commitment to bringing academia and industry closer together, in order to foster innovative solutions to the challenges of sustainable mobility. It also enables us to engage with and support young design talents from the earliest stages of their educational journey."

The partnership is intended to give students hands-on experience of working within an automotive design environment and insight into how an established design team operates.

Mike Levy, Head of the Transportation and Mobility Design Department at Strate School of Design, said, "This collaboration provides our students with an exceptional opportunity to confront the realities and ambitions of an industry undergoing profound transformation. By working alongside an internationally renowned automotive design team celebrated for its boldness, they gain first-hand experience of its methodologies, expertise, and high standards. In return, it offers Peugeot valuable insight into how this new generation of designers envisions its design practice, its perception of the brand, its relationship with mobility, and the future narratives that shape it."

Peugeot says the partnership will help combine academic expertise with industry knowledge to educate designers who can shape future mobility experiences and vehicles.
