Fiat has revealed the Multiplina concept, a compact four-seat electric quadricycle designed for urban use, positioning it as a larger, more practical sibling to the Topolino micro EV.
Do you have any more details on the Fiat Multiplina concept?
The new concept draws inspiration from the original Fiat 600 Multipla of the 1950s, widely regarded as one of the earliest examples of an MPV. Fiat says the Multiplina continues that idea in modern form, using "a layout that maximises space efficiency through an intelligent, human-centric architecture”.
Design-wise, it adopts a simple one-box silhouette, a flat, upright windscreen pushed forward into the body, and rounded headlights, all of which reference the original Multipla's unconventional proportions.
Fiat says the aim is to create a vehicle that prioritises interior space and usability over traditional styling conventions, particularly for dense city environments where compact dimensions and efficiency are key.
What are the performance and speed of the Fiat Multiplina concept?
Although full technical details have not yet been confirmed, Fiat has indicated that the Multiplina will have a top speed significantly higher than the Topolino's 45km/h limit.
Battery size and range figures have not been disclosed, but Fiat has suggested it will offer an "extended range” compared to the Topolino, which uses a small 5.5kWh battery with an official range of around 75 kilometres.
Will the Fiat Multiplina concept go into production?

A production version of the Multiplina is expected in the coming years, although Fiat has not confirmed an official launch date. However, the Multiplina concept was presented as part of the brand's wider future mobility strategy alongside other upcoming small EV and SUV models shown to investors.
The Multiplina forms part of Fiat's broader push into what it calls "micromobility”, joining the Topolino and TRIS three-wheeled commercial vehicle in a tiered approach to urban transport.
While TRIS focuses on last-mile delivery and light business use, Topolino targets ultra-compact personal mobility, and Multiplina is positioned as a more practical family-oriented city vehicle.
Fiat says the aim is to create a scalable range of small electric vehicles that address different urban transport needs, from individual commuting to commercial applications.
"Fiat has been shaping micromobility long before the word even existed. Our mission has always been the same: to make mobility simpler, smarter and more accessible. Today, with Topolino, TRIS, and our vision for the future - Multiplina- we are building on our legacy and creating a complete ecosystem for the cities of tomorrow: joyful, ingenious, sustainable, and unmistakably FIAT” said Olivier François, Fiat CEO and Stellantis Global CMO.
