Bentley has updated its ultra-luxurious Flying Spur saloon, and for the first time since 1962, there are now single-lens headlights on a big Bentley, with a new front end bringing the Flying Spur into styling lockstep with the Continental GT coupe.

What else has Bentley changed?

There are actually two versions of those new headlights, depending on the model, and the big grille has also changed its outline, while the vents on the front wheelarches are now gone. At the rear, the boot has been re-profiled, and there are new brake lights too. The Flying Spur also now gets new optional 22-inch alloy wheels.
Any other changes?

Yes, there's also a new Flying Spur S model, which gets a whopping 680hp - up 130hp from standard - along with 930Nm of torque from its 'High Performance Hybrid' powertrain. Deploy all of that power and this massive luxury saloon will accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 3.7 seconds, with a top speed of 308km/h.
Crikey…

Indeed. Thankfully, keeping all of that reined in is the 'Bentley Performance Active Chassis', which includes active all-wheel drive, twin-valve dampers, torque vectoring (both front-to-rear and side-to-side), and an active anti-roll system. There's also an electronic limited slip differential (for the first time) and revised electronic stability control.
Does the S look any different on the outside?

Yes, but it's subtle. The Flying Spur S gets the 'Blackline' exterior package, which includes a dark lower front bumper with gloss-black matrix grilles, along with black Bentley wings and 'Bentley' lettering. There are also 'Beluga' black mirror caps, and dark-tint lights, front and rear, plus sportier-looking exhaust pipes.
What about inside?

The new Flying Spur's cabin remains broadly the same, but for a mere £25,000 (that's €28,900) Bentley will fit your car with a stunning Naim Audio stereo system. Originally created for the limited-edition Bentley Batur convertible, the Naim Audio setup uses 21 speakers derived from Focal's Grand Utopia speakers, with mid-range drivers and tweeters featuring patented 'M' cones. According to Bentley: "This highly advanced system delivers a breath-taking level of detail adding to the listening experience and captivating realism.”
When can I have one?

Well, if you've got the necessary wedge, you can order your new Flying Spur now, and it should be delivered by the end of this year.
