Nissan Ireland has brought back its '€4k Your Way' offer for the 262 registration period that starts in July. There's a couple of ways in which it works, but the basic version is that you can get as much as €4,000 off the cost of buying a new 262 Nissan.
Go on then, how does it work?
It's pretty simple - you can choose from a €4,000 finance contribution, or a €4,000 bonus on top of your trade-in when you buy any 262 plate Nissan X-Trail, Qashqai, Juke, or Ariya EV. That €4,000 can also be combined with 4.9 per cent APR PCP finance.
Is this an electric-focused offer?
More electrified than just electric, though the Ariya EV is included in the offer. The other models are hybrids. The Juke is a pretty straightforward hybrid - a small petrol engine backed up by an electric motor and compact battery pack. The X-Trail and Qashqai are a different breed, using Nissan's e-Power hybrid setup, whereby the wheels are only ever driven by an electric motor, but you don't need to plug it in. How? Because a compact battery is kept topped up by a 1.5-litre petrol engine, acting as a generator, and so you just fill up with petrol when you need to.
The e-Power system has just recently been updated, too, bringing with it improved overall fuel economy and slightly lower emissions.
And the €4k offer is meant to help buyers find their way to electric and electrified, right?
