Tell us about the Nissan Micras batteries
There are two battery options for the Nissan Micra, starting with the 40kWh model, featuring a 120hp electric motor. This comes with a 317-kilometre driving range. Tipping the scales at just over 1,500kg, this version is also equipped with 80kW DC fast-charging capability.
A larger 52kWh battery providing 416 kilometres of range is paired with a 150hp motor. This also puts out up to 245Nm of torque so it feels brisk, especially around town, and can cruise comfortably at motorway speeds.
This version gets 110kW DC-charging. Both versions of the Micra come with a heat pump as standard to optimise efficiency, along with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability.

Speaking at the market introduction of the car, Seamus Morgan, Managing Director of Nissan Ireland, said: "Nissan is focused on making EVs that fit into the everyday lives of our customers and that deliver electric driving as it should be. We know how to do that because we have been making EVs for more than 15 years, and the all-new Micra is perfectly sized and equipped with intuitive technology so you can pack more into your everyday life.
"The Nissan Micra is the one nameplate which is instantly familiar to Irish motorists, and we are thrilled that its reputation as a practical, versatile and affordable car continues to be very much at the heart of its return as a fully electric vehicle.

"The all-new Micra puts the fun into electric driving. Nissan has fine-tuned the EV driving experience with this car and test drivers are telling us that it has convinced them to make the switch to EV. It is a fantastic addition to Nissan's growing range of fully electric vehicles which also includes the all-new Leaf and premium Nissan Ariya.”
