New Cupra Born almost here…

We're waiting for the reveal of the updated Cupra Born electric hatchback, but until we get to see the whole thing, the Spanish brand is teasing us with these small details…

When will the new Cupra Born be revealed in full?

The new Born gets a full reveal next week, on the 5th of March, so there's not long to wait.

What do we know so far?

Well, we know that this is largely going to be an aesthetic update, so the existing 59kWh and 79kWh battery options should be carried over, along with the 231hp and 326hp electric motors driving the rear wheels. The maximum range of 537km might see a small improvement.

So what is changing?

The Born's biggest change will be to do with its exterior styling, where it will get new headlights and a new 'fascia' at the front, which pulls it in line with the likes of the Tavascan and Terramar SUVs, with their three-point LED triangular headlights.

Is anything else changing?

At the rear of the Born, there's a set of new brake lights, connected by a full-width LED light bar, and those new lights also get the distinctive new three-point triangular signature.

What about the inside?

Yes, that's definitely getting an upgrade. The big touchscreen in the centre of the dash was upgraded last year, so expect that to stay the same, but Cupra is promising improvements in cabin quality, so it's likely we'll see some more luxurious materials used.

There's also a promise of 'greater technology', so it seems likely that Cupra will introduce some updated connectivity options, and likely some new safety tweaks too.
