Skoda has revealed the name and a little of the look of its new all-electric seven-seat SUV.
I presume it starts with a K and ends with a Q?
You're half right - actually, Skoda's new electric seven-seater will be called the Peaq, which is pronounced quite simply as 'Peak.'

What will the Peaq look like?
Well, as you can see from these images, Skoda hasn't shown off the Peaq in full yet, but we can infer from these renderings that it will be big and chunky, and will have a set of LED daytime running lights that extends the full width of the nose, just under the leading edge of the bonnet, taking the 'Tech Deck' face of the current Elroq and Enyaq as a starting point.
What about the back?
That has a distinctive new look, as the Peaq moves away from Skoda's traditional C-shaped brake lights, to more of a T-shape, with a vertical oblong section crossed at the top by a slim line of LEDs.

What else do we know?
Well, we know that the Peaq will take a great deal of inspiration from the Vision 7S concept car of 2022, which was the car that introduced Skoda's 'Modern Solid' styling language. We know that it will be very roomy and versatile inside, and that the dashboard will feature the same three physical rotary controllers, as seen in the current Superb and Kodiaq, as an adjunct to the big touchscreen.
Martin Jahn, Skoda Auto Board Member for Sales and Marketing, said: "With the Vision 7S, we entered new territory for Skoda, with a clear idea of how to elevate the brand. Since then, we have introduced a new design language and further refined our product identity. Now we are bringing this innovative vehicle concept to life. Our new flagship model takes our brand values of spaciousness and practicality to a whole new level. As of today, our bold vision for Skoda's electric future has a name: Peaq - a clear statement of where this model belongs in our portfolio.”
When can I have one and how much will it cost?
The Peaq is set to go on sale in Europe in the summer, so it should arrive in Ireland in the Autumn. As for price, we simply don't know, other than to say that it will sit above the Enyaq in Skoda's portfolio, so expect a starting price tag of around €55-60,000.
