Hyundai to sponsor Dancing With The Stars

Hyundai Ireland has confirmed that it will once again be the official sponsor of RTÉ's top show, Dancing With The Stars. The deal involves multiple TV adverts and 'stings' that will air during the TV programme's run, which starts early next year.

When does the next series of Dancing With The Stars first air?

The show will begin its ninth run on January 4, seeing 12 fresh and famous faces paired up with a professional dancer, in order to perform a live routine every week.

Having to master everything from the Charleston to the Salsa week on week, the celebs will have to win the votes of the four judges - made up of Oti Mabuse, Brian Redmond, Arthur Gourounlian and Karen Byrne - as well as the approval of the public watching the show, with the winning couple landing the acclaimed glitterball trophy at the end of the series.

And how does the Hyundai sponsorship fit into all this?

During the 12-week run of the show on RTÉ One and RTÉ One +1, there will be 396 credited Hyundai stings airing across the channels during first broadcast of the programme, as well as during repeats too.

The deal with Dancing With The Stars also includes live broadcasts on RTÉ Player, all available catch-up episodes, and Hyundai logos on all dedicated promos across television and social media.

Further, the package includes two 10-second credited stings that will top and tail the Dancing With The Stars segments that air on the official radio partner of the series, The Laura Fox Show on 2FM, which airs weekdays from 9am until noon. Finally, Hyundai will also run strip-ad placements in 11 issues of the RTÉ Guide, during the complete series of the dancing show.

Anything else to add?

Sarah Hayes, the marketing director of Hyundai Ireland, said: "We are delighted to be back as the sponsor of Dancing With The Stars for another season. Dancing With The Stars is a proven hit with RTÉ audiences and Hyundai customers.”
