Fresh from revealing its 'Super-N' prototype at the Japan Mobility Show, and in the wake of its '0' (zero) models being shown at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) earlier this year, Honda has followed up with another EV prototype - and it's called the Honda 0 α.
What does that little symbol mean?
It's the lower-case version of the Greek letter 'alpha', and while it looks like the bigger Honda 0 SUV (nee Honda Space Hub) that was shown at CES at the start of 2025, it's in fact a smaller, entry-level version of the same thing.
What can you tell me about the Honda 0 Alpha at this stage?

Honda says it will be the "gateway model” to the entire 0 range of EVs, with the newcomer featuring a refined design and a "spacious cabin that offers outstanding occupant comfort”.
It is designed on the same 'Thin, Light and Wise' philosophy that Honda has used for the 0 Saloon and 0 SUV models which will be the pioneers of this new sub-line of cars from the Japanese manufacturer.

It is lower overall than the bigger 0 SUV, but Honda says it has managed to drop the Alpha's roofline without compromising its ground clearance, so that it still has the right stance for this type of vehicle.
The exterior design is dominated by two screen areas at the front and rear of the Alpha, the former housing components that are conventionally separated - like the headlights, charging port and the illuminated Honda emblem - while the latter features a U-shaped signature that houses all lighting functions and which accentuates the form of the rear windscreen.

And how about inside?
Ah, no word on that as yet - this was primarily about the exterior styling, and the inclusion of a new, smaller model in the Honda 0 family.

The Alpha won't come to market until the bigger 0 Saloon and 0 SUV variants have paved the way, and we don't know yet at this point what the 0 Alpha's battery size, motor power or performance will be like.
Watch this space and we'll bring you more details on it, as and when they arrive.
