Get tweeting for Keith Barry and the ISPCC

Keith Barry to compete in ESB Electric's 'Tweet 'em Home for Christmas' and Renault Ireland want you to show your support.

ESB Electric Ireland's 'Tweet 'em Home for Christmas' charity drive, which will see three teams compete for tweets as they hope to complete their round trips from Dublin to Galway and back, kicked off today (Thursday December 8). The three teams - musician Mundy and comedian Joe Rooney; comedian Andrew Stanley and RTE presenter Katie Van Buren; and Mentalist and Renault brand Ambassador Keith Barry and rugby pundit Brent Pope - have already received €10,000 for their respective charities from ESB Electric Ireland, but all three want to scoop the €20,000 grand prize and Renault wants you to give your backing to Team C.

Renault Ireland is looking for motoring fans to give their support to Barry and Pope by tweeting with the hashtag #ESBElectricIrelandTeamC and giving Team C the 'tweet power' required to complete the challenge. Renault Ireland is fully behind this challenge, as not only has it given the team the use of the stonking Mégane Trophy RS 265, but will also donate €10 per kilometre, meaning if Team C get the tweets required, its charity, the ISPCC, could receive a total donation of €35,000.

Tweets will only count from 8.30am and the start of the race will be announced on Breakfast with Hector on 2FM.
