Nissan has revealed the design of its Japan Mobility Show 2025 stand and offered an early look ahead of press day on Wednesday, 29 October. The booth takes its cue from Japan's manga culture with black-and-white line art that looks like a comic-book sketch. Visitors will be encouraged to “add colour” to the space as they move through it.

What does Nissan have to say about its Tokyo show stand?

Nissan describes the layout as playful and immersive, with a cityscape feel. The aim is to make the tech easy to explore, with areas to interact with vehicles, services and displays. Nissan says the design reflects this year's show theme, “Culture, Creation and Future”.

Alfonso Albaisa of Global Design at Nissan, said: “As designers, we find profound inspiration in Japan's vibrant creative culture. This year's booth is a celebration of that spirit - melding artistry and innovation to offer visitors a glimpse into the future of mobility. While the visual concept sets the stage, the true essence will come alive once visitors step inside, bringing their own colour and energy to create a dynamic contrast against the backdrop.”

Which new Nissans will be revealed?

The stand will be the stage for the world debut of the all-new Elgrand. Nissan will also show other new and updated models aimed at its home market, along with the brand's latest mobility solutions and services. Full product details are being held for the press conference, but of most interest to Irish buyers will be a first glimpse at the facelifted Nissan Ariya EV.

The manga aesthetic serves as a visual thread across the stand rather than a one-off backdrop. The monochrome look keeps the focus on vehicle shapes and interface screens, and it ties the different zones together. The company says the concept is intended to highlight the link between Japanese creative culture and Nissan's future design direction.

Nissan's press conference is scheduled for Wednesday, 29 October at 10:40 am Japan Standard Time. For readers in Ireland, that's 1:40 am on the same date. The Japan Mobility Show is held at Tokyo Big Sight, with public days running from Friday, 31 October to Sunday, 9 November.

We'll bring model specifics once the covers come off.
