Cupra has announced a major expansion of its warranty for Irish buyers, at the same time as setting out its stall for 2026 sales with news of its “261” registration offers.
How good is the new Cupra warranty?
Really good. The new warranty is a full factory one, and it covers all of Cupra's models for five years or 100,000km, whichever comes first. Given the average Irish driver would only cover around 70,000km in five years, that's pretty impressive. It will apply to all Cupra models ordered from now for registration from January 1, 2026.
As before, there's concurrent high-voltage battery cover for plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles, which are warrantied for eight years or up to 160,000km against battery defects, with repair or replacement provided if the battery falls below 70 per cent of the original storage capacity during the warranty period.
What else is Cupra Ireland up to?
Well, there's a special Cupra sales event running from 13 to 31 October, which includes low-rate PCP finance, SEAI grant boosters, trade-in boosters and complimentary extras like free service plans and pre-paid credit cards to the value of €500 if you order a new Cupra.
If you're thinking of going electric, these offers are especially tempting as the all-electric Cupra Born can be had on 1.9 per cent PCP finance, with a €3,500 boost for the SEAI grant (effectively doubling the grant), monthly repayments from €269, and the €500 pre-paid credit card for your Christmas shopping.
The Cupra Tavascan EV comes with a similar deal, with the same grant boost, the same pre-paid €500 credit card and a 3.9-per-cent PCP deal with repayments starting from €339 per month.
What if I don't want to go electric?
That's OK - Cupra has combustion and plug-in hybrid models too, such as the Terramar SUV, which you can get on a 3.9-per-cent-interest PCP deal, with €369 monthly repayments, a €2,000 trade-in boost and the €500 pre-paid credit card.
There's also the Formentor crossover, which comes with the credit card, the €2,000 trade-in boost and a 1.9-per-cent PCP deal with repayments starting at €259 per month, or there's the Leon hatchback and estate on 0 per cent finance, with monthly repayments starting from €259, and with the €2,000 trade-in boost and the €500 credit card.
