Toyota's bonkers Fun-Vii

Here's a car from Toyota that tries to do everything your smartphone does.

Have you ever looked at the MINI or Fiat 500 range and thought "Nope, there is not enough personalisation for me"? Well then the Toyota Fun-Vii may be just the car for you. The Fun-Vii ('Vehicle, interactive, internet' don't you know) is said to offer the ultimate in personalisation via a body that can be used as a display space, with the colour and display changing as easily as you update your Facebook status. Having a bad day - choose a deep red hue with a 'do not disturb' style message or if you are so inclined you can proclaim your love for Justin Bieber for the world to see.

The interior of the car is equally as mad with navigation information blended into the interior design through the use of augmented reality and the car's 'navigation concierge' providing the passengers with driving information and guidance through a vocal interface. A network update function makes sure the software for the vehicle's drive, control and multimedia system are always up-to-date.

It is almost a shame that the Fun-Vii is just a concept car. Can you imagine the fun to be had 'fraping' your friends as they crawl through a congested city?

The Fun-Vii and other concept cars are on display by Toyota at the Tokyo Motor Show this year.
