Lamborghini has launched its fastest car ever, the Fenomeno. You can think of it as an upgraded version of the current V12-engined Revuelto.
When you say fastest…

Well, Lamborghini reckons that the new Fenomeno can sprint from standing still to doing 100km/h in just 2.4 seconds. That's fast enough to give even the quickest electric supercars a run for their battery-powered money.
It's not just the 0-100km/h time, either. By the time a Golf GTI has hit that speed, the Lambo will be way further up the road, doing 200km/h in just 6.7 seconds, on the way to a top speed of 351km/h.
What makes the Fenomeno so fast?

Power, and lots of it. There's a 6.5-litre V12 engine jammed into the back of the Fenomeno, and it's providing 835hp. On top of that, there are three electric motors which draw power from a 7kWh battery — twice the size of that found in the standard Revuelto — which add an extra 245hp, bringing the total to 1,080hp, plus all sorts of torque vectoring to keep you away from the hedgerows.
The body is mostly made from carbon-fibre, which means that the Fenomeno has the same weight as a standard Revuelto — 1,772kg — but with the higher power, it has the best power-to-weight ratio of any Lambo ever, 635hp per tonne.
How much and when can I have one?

You're already too late, and anyway, this thing is going to cost megabucks. It's been unveiled at The Quail, the expensive car gathering in California that's part of Monterey Car Week, which means that the very few — only 30 — that will be made have already been snapped up by the wealthy bigwigs that get invited to such events, and Lambo has confirmed that the car is already a sell-out.
The Fenomeno is the latest in a long line of special Lamborghinis, designed to be not just super-fast but also ultra-exclusive, such as the Sesto Elemento (from 2010), Veneno (2013), Centenario (2016), Sián (2019), and Countach LPI 800-4 (2021). Among these, two have debuted at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering: the Roadster version of the Centenario and the Countach LPI 800-4.
“The Fenomeno introduces the most advanced technical solutions in our history, pushing the boundaries of performance and design, while honouring the values and achievements that are a fundamental part of our DNA,” said Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Automobili Lamborghini. “Unveiling the Fenomeno at The Quail, a prestigious celebration of automotive excellence in our largest global market, offers the perfect setting for our customers to experience this few-off masterpiece in person.”
