Hyundai Ioniq 9 Irish pricing revealed Hyundai Ioniq 9 Irish pricing revealed

The Hyundai Ioniq 9 has been officially launched in Ireland with a starting price of €78,495. Hyundai Ireland is also offering finance packages for the Ioniq 9, with monthly repayments starting from €575.95 at a 3.9 per cent APR. The seven-seat SUV is an electric alternative to Hyundai's other large SUV, the Santa Fe.

Initially, the Ioniq 9 will be available in just one specification called Platinum. Standard equipment includes 20-inch alloy wheels, two-tone coloured bumpers, silver integrated roof rails, leather upholstery, electrically adjustable front seats that include Hyundai's Premium Relaxation technology. The front and second row seats also feature heating and ventilation functions.

There's also plenty of in-car technology, including a panoramic curved display comprising two 12.3-inch displays and a 5.3-inch climate display, along with an infotainment system that features AI-enabled voice recognition and is capable of receiving over-the-air updates. A colour augmented-reality head-up display relays all important information directly into your line of sight while driving.

The touchscreen is equipped with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and there is also a 14-speaker Bose surround system. In addition to being able to charge its battery at very high speeds, inside, you'll also be able to keep all of your devices topped up with a wireless charging pad up front and two USB-C ports in each seat row, which gives up to 100W of charging power.

It is also the first Hyundai model in Ireland to offer owners the ability to purchase extra add-ons and features via the Hyundai smartphone app. These features will include items such as alternative light animations and other personalisation functions.

What is the range of the Ioniq 9?

The Ioniq 9 has a 110.3kWh battery, providing a driving range of 620 kilometres in combined WLTP conditions. As with Hyundai's Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 models, the Ioniq 9 features ultra-fast DC charging at up to 350kW, allowing it to go from 10 to 80 per cent charge in 24 minutes at the right charger.

For now, there is a single version available, which gets a rear-wheel drive setup and 217hp electric motor with 350Nm of torque. It can also tow up to 1,600kg and has V2L (Vehicle to Load) capability, meaning the high-voltage battery can be used to power external devices via an adapter that plugs into the charge port.

Are other versions of the Ioniq 9 coming?

The Ioniq 9 is now available at dealers nationwide. In time, Hyundai Ireland plans to expand the Ioniq 9 model range to include a dual-motor all-wheel drive variant and a six-seat configuration.
