Land Rover has revealed a refresh for the Discovery Sport, extending to exterior and interior tweaks, the addition of themed option packs and two new editions of the family-oriented SUV to top the lineup.

What are these new editions?

First up is the Discovery Sport Landmark, featuring mountain range logos in the puddle lights and aluminium treadplates. Its rear seats slide and recline, and feature 'Click & Go' media holders. There's also a 3D Surround Camera system, roof rails and a panoramic glass roof.

Topping the lineup is the new Discovery Sport Metropolitan. Externally, this is subtly identified by its silver Discovery lettering on the bonnet and rear, plus silver-painted 'undershields' front and back. The radiator grille also gets a silver finish and there are new 20-inch wheels fitted - optionally available in gloss black.

Inside, there are Metropolitan-branded treadplates, Windsor Leather for the 14-way electrically adjustable front seats (heated and cooled) and a host of technology including a 650W Meridian sound system, Land Rover's 'Clearsight' digital rear-view mirror and 'Cabin Air Purification Plus'.

What about the regular Discovery Sport?

The entry-level model is the Dynamic S car, with lots of black detailing, including gloss-black lower body sides, Discovery wording, grille, wheel arches, lower bumpers and more.

Inside, Land Rover points out that the Discovery Sport comes as standard with digital instrumentation, gearshift paddles behind the steering wheel and an 11.4-inch 'Pivi Pro' infotainment touchscreen featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

You mentioned themed option packs...

Indeed. Discovery Sport buyers could already upgrade their cars with the Biking Adventures or For Dogs packs, and now there are also Beach Days, Road Trip and Snow Days options, each with its own equipment.

How much is the updated Discovery Sport in Ireland?

As before, the plug-in hybrid versions are the most affordable thanks to their low emissions. The Dynamic S model powered by the 269hp PHEV system costs from €74,560. The Discovery Sport Landmark is €82,900 as a PHEV, while the Metropolitan starts at €90,650.
