Skoda has revealed a new, brightly coloured one-off Elroq designed to reflect the brand's “core values” of respect, diversity and inclusion. Debuting as part of European Diversity Month, and following on from the Enyaq Respectline revealed in 2023, the Elroq Respectline is mechanically identical to the standard car, but comes with a vibrant colour scheme and some inclusive design tweaks.

Celebrating diversity

The Respectline's gaudy design is based around the 'háček' - the little v-shaped mark above the 'S' in Skoda's name when it's written in Czech. The shape is used as a motif all over the Elroq Respectline, featuring on the bonnet, the flanks and the tailgate.

But perhaps the most obvious feature is the colour scheme, which combines the rainbow - a symbol of the LGBT+ community and a “reminder of societal diversity” - with the minty green colour that's used widely in Skoda's modern branding. As a result, the Respectline has green touches around the windscreen and the lower bumper, while green also features on the spokes of the alloy wheels on the right-hand side of the car. On the left, fitting with international navigation lighting conventions, the Respectline's wheels have red spokes.

The rainbow also makes an appearance in the nose of the Respectline, where Skoda has added animated rainbow lighting in the black 'Tech Deck' panel that stretches between the car's two headlight clusters.

Colourful cabin

And that rainbow appears inside, too, where Skoda has used recycled material and created a rainbow design on the dashboard trim. The green appears on the upholstery, too, but there's rainbow stitching in the fabric and the white háček design reappears.

“Diversity, equity, inclusion, and mutual understanding are cornerstones of Skoda's corporate culture,” said Maren Gräf, Skoda board member for people and culture. “With the new Elroq Respectline, we are introducing a Skoda brand ambassador that embodies these values. Our goal at Skoda Auto is to be a role model in caring for our employees and fostering a safe, open, and fair workplace for all.

“For many years, we have been building our corporate culture on these principles - in close cooperation with our social partner KOVO Union, Skoda Auto employee groups, and many inspiring organizations and experts. We are proud of our commitment to promoting human rights and mutual respect, and we believe the Elroq Respectline will help us carry these values even further."

Public platform

To get the Respectline out there, Skoda will show the vehicle at Auto Motor und Sport magazine's Best Cars 2025 awards in Hamburg, Germany, on Friday, May 9, before heading to Skoda's internal music festival in the Czech Republic on May 10.

Over the course of the summer, the Respectline will be shown at numerous cultural events, including the Metronome Prague music festival, Prague Pride, and the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra's Open Air concert, as well as some stages of the Tour de France bicycle race.
