The new car, which goes on sale in Ireland in October, will be available with a choice of petrol and diesel engines, including a 1.2-litre TSI petrol and 1.6-litre TDI diesel, all with low emissions.
No prices have been announced as yet, but it is hoped that they will start at around €18,000.
