It's set to be on sale early next year and will make its world debut at the Frankfurt motor show in September.
Following Hyundai's "fluidic" design principles, the new i30 is bolder than the car it replaces but very similar in size. It will share new engines with the recently launched i40.
Like the i40, the new i30 has been developed at Hyundai's technology centre in Russelsheim, Germany so that it meets European expectations of ride and handling.
Prices and specifications for the new Hyundai i30 will be announced late in 2011.
