Irish car dealers support ‘Safe Haven For Ukraine’

Donated supplies can be dropped off at car dealers nationwide.

Ireland's car dealers are supporting the new 'Safe Haven For Ukraine' appeal, which is looking for donations of essential supplies for those suffering under the Russian invasion.

Campaign runs till May 18th

The campaign, which begins on Wednesday the 11th of May and runs until the 18th, is calling for donations of medicine, medical and electrical equipment. Car dealers say that their premises, with ample storage, space, and security are ideal drop-off points, not to mention having staff on hand who can advise and assist.

Donate money or equipment

If you want to help, you can either make a cash donation through the website safeharbourforukraine.org/imdsupportingukraine/ or you can find a list of necessary items which can be bought and dropped off at one of the 65 car dealers participating in the scheme.

Generosity of the Irish public

Project Managed by Rory Dennehy, Managing Director, Dennehy Motor Group said: "As motor dealers and business owners we strongly believe that we have both the opportunity and responsibility to facilitate this campaign and recognise the dire situation the people of Ukraine are forced to endure since war was inflicted upon them. We appreciate and acknowledge the generosity of the Irish public and Irish business community to date, but unfortunately, as the war continues in Ukraine the need for support grows."
