Renault doubles scrappage deal

The scrappage scheme may be coming to an end, but Renault is extending and doubling its offer.

Renault is ignoring the end of the scrappage scheme by extending its offers and doubling the amount customers can save on a new car.

Anyone buying a new Renault from today can save up to €5,800 when they trade in their 2001-registered car. Renault is even making the offer on 2001-registered cars that have not yet reached their 10th birthday.

The Clio Royale is available from €9,990 and the Mégane Royale Diesel from €15,300. A Fluence Royale Diesel has lowest Band A road tax and a five-year unlimited mileage warranty from €16,000.

Renault Ireland's managing director, Eric Basset, said: "Scrappage can't stop. It has worked for the industry, for the customer and for the economy, so we will continue to offer customers value with double scrappage and extend it to all 2001 cars."
