Lexus Ireland recalls RX 400h

Lexus RX 400 models made between 24 September 2004 and 9 August 2006 to be recalled.

Lexus Ireland is recalling some RX 400h hybrid vehicles.  In affected vehicles there is a possibility that an internal component of the hybrid inverter may become damaged.  If this occurs various warning lamps will be illuminated on the instrument panel.

In most cases the vehicle will enter a fail-safe driving mode, resulting in limited power in which the vehicle can be driven.  In limited instances, the hybrid system will stop while the vehicle is being driven, and the vehicle will coast to a standstill.

The affected vehicles were produced between 24 September 2004 and 9 August 2006.

This recall affects 281 vehicles in Ireland.

Lexus Ireland will be contacting customers with affected vehicles, detailing the reasons for the recall and advising them to contact their nearest Lexus dealer who will arrange for the required check and repair free of charge.

Lexus owners who may have questions or concerns should contact their local Lexus dealer or Lexus Ireland Customer Relations for assistance on Freefone 1800 224222, or email [email protected].
