Just 300 Land Rover Defender V8 Bond Editions will be built.

Now, in the new James Bond film, No Time To Die, there's a scene where a trio of new Land Rover Defenders leap almost 30 metres through the air in a spectacular, done-for-real, no-CGI stunt. It's an awesome bit of film-making, but please - please, folks - don't try to replicate it at home with one of these, the new Land Rover Defender V8 Bond Edition. After all, only 300 are being built, and we'd like them returned, intact...

Bespoke animation

While the stunt Defenders in the film actually have stripped out interiors with roll-cages, bucket seats, and whammy-bar handbrakes, the on-road Bonds Editions will be a touch more luxurious. There will be a bit of bespoke animation on the 'Pivi Pro' infotainment screen when you switch on, along with laser etching detailing that it is 'one of 300' and the SV Bespoke logo. There are also little 007 logo puddle lights in the wing mirrors.

007 badges

You can have your Bond Edition Defender V8 in either short-wheelbase 90 or long-wheelbase 110 forms, and on the outside, you'll spot one thanks to an 'Extended Black Pack' which deletes all the exterior chrome, and comes with 22-inch Gloss Black alloy wheels, signature Xenon Blue front brake calipers and a 'Defender 007' rear badge.

Supercharged V8

Each Bond Edition is powered by a 5.0-litre 525hp supercharged petrol engine, which produces 625Nm of torque and drives through an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Defender V8 90 accelerates from 0-100km/h in just over 4.9 seconds with a top speed of 245km/h.

Finbar McFall, Land Rover Brand Director, said: "The Land Rover Defender V8 Bond Edition is an exclusive take on the most powerful production Defender ever made, inspired by vehicles on screen in No Time To Die. It represents a meeting of two great British brands and is a unique celebration of Land Rover's 38-year association with James Bond."

Is this a good time to point out that, in the film, the Land Rovers are driven by... the bad guys?
