MINI Coupé starts at €24,010

Distinctive new two-seat MINI arrives in Ireland in October.

If you've been paying attention you'll have noticed that the images of the new MINI Coupé accompanying our first drive were of lightly disguised examples of the car. Well, the embargo has now lifted so we can show you the John Cooper Works version in all its racing striped glory.

As we pointed out, the Coupé line-up will include Cooper, Cooper S and John Cooper Works petrol options, along with the diesel-fuelled Cooper SD. Prices for these have now been released, with €24,010 (on-the-road) the cost of entry to the club. That's for the Cooper model. The Cooper S is €28,390, the SD costs €29,010 and the range-topping JCW model comes in at €37,040. Overall this represents a premium of about €3,000 over the equivalent hatchback.

The Coupé will be well equipped too. Other than the styling bits and pieces that set it apart, DAB digital radio comes as standard, as does air conditioning, parking sensors, alloy wheels, a three-spoke leather steering wheel and sport stripes on the body work.

Made at Plant Oxford, the new MINI Coupé goes on sale on October 1st this year.
