New recall affects 143 iQ models and 39 Toyota Prius in Ireland.

Toyota is to recall the iQ and Prius. The recall on the iQ is being carried out due to a potential fault with the braking system that could lead to reduced braking force. The cars were built between October 2008 and May 2010.

This affects 143 Toyota iQ vehicles in Ireland.

There is also a recall on Toyota Prius models built between January 2000 and May 2003. This recall is being carried out because of a risk of the steering operation becoming temporarily limited. This recall affects 39 Toyota Prius vehicles in Ireland.

Affected customers will be notified by letter, whereby they can visit their local Toyota dealer to have the work carried out.
