Ford launches ‘Upgrade & Save’ promotion.

Ford is laying out its offers and incentives ahead of the incoming 211 registration period, and you can save a potential €3,150 off a new car.

Big discount on the new Kuga

That biggest discount applies to the new Kuga SUV, which is a decent saving on a car that we rate highly. You could also get yourself €750 off a Fiesta, €2,350 off the EcoSport, €1,700 off a Puma, €2,950 off a Focus, €2,000 off a Mondeo, or either €1,200 or €2,250 (respectively) off an S-Max or Galaxy.

Savings on vans

There are significant discounts on commercial vehicles, too, including €1,750 off a Transit Connect Limited, €5,500 off a Transit Custom, €6,500 off a Transit 'Two Tonne' and €3,200 off a Ranger.

Ford Ireland also says that it will have low APR finance packages in place, as well as a combo of seven years' warranty and roadside assistance.

"Just like the rest of the population, our Ford Dealers are really hoping for and looking forward to the easing of the latest Covid19 restrictions", said John Manning, Market Lead for Ford Ireland. "Through the lockdown, our Dealers have been fielding a high volume of calls and inquiries in relation to new cars for the 211 registration period, so there is evidently a certain amount of pent up demand due to the slow down in new car sales since the imposition of the first round of Covid restrictions back in March this year. To respond to this, we have put in place an enticing suite of offers for new car buyers under the banner of our 'Upgrade & Save' promotion. And with our 'peace of mind' three-month payment deferral, customers can get behind the wheel and not worry about monthly payments until spring-time next year."

2.9 per cent APR finance

"The 'Upgrade & Save' promotion offers also cover the Ford range of commercial vehicles, Ireland's top-selling vans. With reductions of up to €6,500 across the range including on Ireland's most popular van, the award-winning Ford Transit, available for the first time in a plug-in hybrid version. Finance packages with a super low 2.9 per cent APR are available and a once-off 0 per cent APR offer for customers who opt for the versatile Ranger Wildtrak pick up truck, current holder of the bi-annual International Pick Up award as voted on by Europe's most experienced commercial vehicle journalists" said Manning.

The 'Upgrade & Save' offers are valid on cars ordered before the end of December and registered in January.
