Remote services added to SEAT Ireland website to encourage at-home car shopping.

The country may be under Level 5 coronavirus restrictions, but SEAT says that its dealerships will remain open, and it's adding more online shopping tools to help car buyers make their motoring picks safely from home.

Safety and wellbeing

According to SEAT Ireland: "The safety and wellbeing of staff and customers is a key priority for SEAT and although physical showrooms will be closed under government restrictions, the SEAT Ireland website will provide services virtually including car configuration, live chat function, aftersales services and financial services."

Service centres open

SEAT's workshops will stay fully open so that servicing and maintenance can continue. Deals remain in place too, so in the run up to the new 211 plate, there are 0 per cent PCP finance available across the range and a heavily discounted three-year service plan for just €9.99 per month, as well as online scrappage vouchers of up to €5,000 across the various model ranges.

Online shopping tools

Digital services to make car shopping from home easier include a live chat function, an online car configurator, online finance applications, and online service booking as well as service plan purchasing.

"As well as providing the digital services, all SEAT Ireland dealerships have already been fully modified nationwide to ensure social distancing can be facilitated. Protective screens are present throughout the showrooms, service counters and workshops for the protection and safety of staff and customers across the 23 dealers nationwide. The retailers are also providing a free Sanity Systems deep cleaning service with any aftersales service" said a SEAT spokesperson.
