612hp BMW iX3 M60 xDrive revealed in all its glorious greenness
We brought you news of the new BMW iX4 electric coupe-SUV last night and those of you that read it all the way through may have noticed us mention that the iX4 M60 xDrive’s feisty powertrain would also be available in the iX3. Well, here it is. By way of reminder, this is an M Performance Vehicle, so not quite the full-beans M car, but it has been developed by the M division. Key figures: 612hp, 875Nm of torque, 0-100km/h in 3.9 seconds and a range of 754km. Oh and it has yellow lights.

Rolls-Royce is part of the BMW Group so it should be of no surprise that sharing of ideas happens. The latest 7 Series, for example, uses at least three things found on Rolls-Royce cars. First up, the tyres have a sound-absorbing foam insert. Secondly, the Panoramic Vision can display 'art' of sorts, a bit like the Rolls-Royce Phantom's gallery feature. Finally, the 7 Series can be fitted with auto doors, which can be opened and closed via the key, app or button. BMW X3 M50 gets darker look and 443hp boost
BMW is giving the X3 M50 xDrive more power and a new Black Package option. Its turbocharged 3.0-litre straight-six gains 45hp for a total of 443hp, cutting the 0-100km/h time to 4.4 seconds. The Black Package adds 22-inch alloys, black exterior detailing and an Alcantara-heavy cabin with blue accents. All versions of the X3 receive a selection of interior upgrades in time for the 271-registration period in January.
