Hi,
I just read your article on the Subaru Forester from when you test drove it in 2018 and I’m considering buying one (2.0-litre petrol, 143,000km on the clock, automatic model) but would like to know what issues should I be aware of before buying.

Hi Cath,
The Forester has turned out to be quite a sturdy and dependable car, though make sure you carry out all a detailed inspection as you would of any used car, such as looking for warning lights, test driving it thoroughly and inspecting the service history.
About the only major thing to look at closely is the automatic gearbox. Make sure it operates smoothly at all times and check to see if any maintenance work has been done on it. Also get the car's VIN and check that it has had all its recall work done.
