Should I buy an imported Toyota Corolla Cross?

The question

I'm going to buy my Japanese import car from a dealer - Windsor Cars in Dublin - as I'm trading in my 191 Toyota Corolla hybrid for an imported 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross hybrid. Should I buy it?

Expert answer

Hi Dympna,

The Corolla Cross is a practical machine and should prove reliable.

No harm getting a history check done on the car and also get confirmation that it has an alarm and immobiliser from the dealer before you commit to buying it, as many Japanese cars do not have these.

Finally, ask for as long a warranty as possible from the dealer on the car, and ask for what it includes in writing.
